It looks like no one wants to be type-casted in Hollywood: models turns photographers; actors turn singers; singers turn designers and billionaire entrepeneurs turn presidents.
Tom Ford is no exception: a
world-known fashion designer turned movie director.
Nocturnal Animals is his second experience beyond the camera: the thriller movie premiered in Italy
on the 17th
of November and will be out today, November 18th , in the USA.
Sembra che ad Hollywood le etichette non piacciano a nessuno: modelli che fanno i fotografi; attori che fanno i cantanti; cantanti che fanno gli stilisti e imprenditori che fanno i presidenti.
Tom Ford non fa eccezione: uno

seconda esperienza dietro la macchina da presa: il thriller è uscito nelle sale italiane il
17 Novembre, mentre negli Stati Uniti debutterà il 18 Novembre. |

detto da Peter Bradshaw, il primo film di Ford – A Single Man del
2009 con Colin Firt - era stilisticamente “troppo pubblicitario”: considerando che questa volta Tom Ford si è anche dedicato alla
sceneggiatura, dovremmo preoccuparci?
Assolutamente no.
Animali Notturni è un thriller a sfondo romantico tratto/ispirato dal romanzo di Austin Wright "Tony & Susan" (1993): il taglio visonario che Ford ha conferito alla pellicola ha già guadagnato il premio della
giuria alla 73esima Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.

Thanks to his
fame (or maybe his budget), Tom Ford managed to cast Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal – two big stars in Hollywood,
who definitely know how to deliver good thriller movies.
The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are so enthusiastic that we can easily agree on one thing: Nocturnal Animals is a must see
